Asia Carbon ESCO Internet Monitoring - Tracking Energy Anywhere (TEA)

As we progressed into Energy Efficiency we found the major stumbling block was acquiring and displaying actual data accurately to our clients. We embarked in a three year development program for our energy monitoring software with the main aim of ensuring data reliability.

Our software was developed with the ability to display months of one minute data of multiple points without software issues. Our online monitoring system was tested in actual site conditions for two years before we proceeded with full implementation. Today the software has the following abilities:

One-minute (or lower) monitoring of any number of measured points
Ability to display data in time series or XY charts
Data security where multiple data sets are stored in different PCs
Clear separation between logging servers and display servers - provides additional data backup.
Excellent software coding reduces need for high end expensive servers!
Able to be installed at site in short period of time with easy setup by trained personnel.
Highly flexible system with the ability to capture any data from text files, mysql database or other open source database types.
Continuous upgrade of software at no cost to client - it is in-house software, thus improvements are passed to the clients who have active maintenance contracts

Use devices that claim savings by just inserting a device into a circuit
Advocate turning on and off systems, no shutting down earlier - this simply creates potential comfort issues for tenants!
Promote the mantra of increasing room temperature unless it is below 21 °C in the tropics... we save by reducing losses - not by creating discomfort!

Our experience in CDM projects allows us to integrate seamlessly the energy efficiency project(s) together with the methodologies issued by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) for the obtaining of CERs.
